Korean-American solo artist Ailee is the next to join this year’s KCON stop in New York. Seventeen was the first K-pop artist announced to be attending a few weeks ago. Ailee will be performing by the East Coast this summer, from June 24 to 25 at the Prudential Center. KCON will also be taking place in the West Coast a month later in Los Angeles , at the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center from July 29 to 31. Already at its fifth anniversary, KCON continues to be the largest Korean music and culture festival in the world.
Ailee has already performed for KCON this year, at the convention’s stop in Abu Dhabi last March. KCON has successfully wrapped up its stops in the Middle East and in Saitama in Japan and will advance to the United States next. The singer will return to her home state of New Jersey to attend this year’s KCON New York event. Ailee began her singing career as a YouTube star and signed under Muzo Entertainment in the United States, but later signed under YMC Entertainment in Korea after moving there in 2010.
Ailee debuted in February 2012 with the song “Heaven”, which she followed up with “I’ll Show You”, “U&I”, “Singing Got Better”, “Don’t Touch Me”, “Johnny”, and “Mind Your Own Business”. Tickets for KCON in New York will be available for purchase starting May 13, while tickets for the Los Angeles event will begin selling on June 3.
