Girl group DIA are making their first comeback this week. Today, midnight Korea local time, DIA’s agency Music Beyond Korea (MBK) (formerly Core Contents Media (CCM)) uploaded the full music video for “On the Road” on their official YouTube channel. “On the Road” is the title track of their second full-length album, titled “Happy Ending”. The music video for “On the Road” was filmed in Jeju Island.
DIA’s newest album “Happy Ending” features a total of 7 new songs, including title track “On the Road” and its instrumental. Other songs on the album include the similarly titled “Happy Ending”, “The Trainee”, a solo from member Yebin “Waiting for You”, another solo by member Eunchae “Remember”, and a group version of Yebin’s solo.
DIA released two teaser videos for “On the Road” earlier this week, one for the main version and the other for the dance version. The music video released today is the main version; two other versions, the drama version and dance version, will be released in the following days. Multiple versions for a music video is a staple practice of MBK, carried over from their days as CCM managing their first and primary girl group T-ara.
DIA debuted last year in September 2015 with their first full-length album “Do It Amazing”, the meaning of their name DIA, and title track “Somehow”. The music video for “Somehow” was filmed in Hong Kong. After several weeks promoting on music shows, concerts, and outdoor events with “Somehow”, they continued promotions with the second title track from their album, “My Friend’s Boyfriend”.
