Formerly known as Beast, the group’s five members announced their new group name Highlight in February, revealing that it was derived from the title of their final studio album while they were still signed with Cube. Their title song “Plz Don’t be Sad!” topped almost all of the Korean music shows, including The Show, Show Champion, M! Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo (The Music Trend).
SF9 is a boy group formed by FNC Entertainment and is the company’s first dance boy group. The group consists of nine members: Young Bin, In Seong, Jae Yoon, Da Won, Ro Woon, Zu Ho, Tae Yang, Hwi Young, and Cha Ni.
The group’s name stands for Sensational Feeling 9. They debuted last year on October 5, with their first single album “Feeling Sensation”. Their first mini album “Burning Sensation” was released on February 6, and landed at No. 6 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart for the week of February 15. On April 18, SF9 released their second mini album “Breaking Sensation”, with title track “Easy Love”.
After quickly selling out last year, KCON USA is returning to the New York metro area for a third year, continuing its reign as the leader in spreading Hallyu (Korean pop culture) with star-studded concerts, specialized programming, and expanded K-beauty, K-food, and e-sports offerings.
The Los Angeles edition of KCON 2017 USA will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center and the Staples Center from August 18 to 20. More artists for both events will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
