YG Entertainment released another “Who’s Next” image last Thursday, leaving fans to guess who the next YG artist is who will be making a comeback next week. YG revealed today that iKON is coming next, with a digital single titled “WYD (What You Doing)” that will be released on May 30.
Fans made several guess: one was a BIGBANG comeback, with the group recently celebrating their 10th anniversary; another was the summer comeback of 2NE1 without Minzy; one guess was 90’s boy band Sechs Kies, who signed with YG this month. Others were Jang Hannah’s solo debut and the debut of YG’s Girls’ Generation (YG SNSD), of which Jennie Kim has been rumored to be a member of since the group was announced in 2012. The guess that came closest was the rumor of a solo album from Bobby.
iKON debuted in 2015, as the second group after WINNER from the idol reality show “WIN: Who is Next”, produced by both Mnet Media and YG Entertainment. YG’s newest boy group are currently on tour across Asia with “iKONCERT 2016”, performing in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand.
