Former Girls’ Generation member, solo artist, and actress Jessica is traveling all over Asia to promote as a solo artist, as well as filming for several upcoming movies. Last week, Saturday June 18, Jessica held a fan meeting and showcase in Taipei, capital of Taiwan, titled “Jessica 1st Premium Live Showcase in Taiwan”.
Jessica’s stop in Taipei is part of the singer’s fan meeting and mini concert tour, titled “Jessica Fan Meeting 2016 Asia Tour”, which began in Seoul, Korea, on June 1. Before Jessica’s visit to Taipei last June 18, she also stopped by and performed in Bangkok, Thailand on June 11.
She performed a total of 6 numbers for her Taipei stop: she opened with “Fly”, and then followed up with “Dear Diary”, “Love Me the Same”, “Golden Sky”, “Big Mini World”, and closed with a special cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song “Call Me Maybe”.
The first 5 songs are all original tracks from Jessica’s debut mini album, “With Love, J”, which was released last month on May 17, with 2 music videos for the double title tracks “Fly” and “Love Me the Same”. Jessica also released an international version of the album, which contains English language remakes of all the 6 original Korean songs.
Besides talking with the fans and host, sharing her thoughts, and meeting her fans, Jessica also played games with some of the members from the crowd, taking snapshots with a Polaroid camera, and gifting fans with special presents, and more.
Jessica also shared after the fan meeting that she was really happy to have been able to hold a fan meeting in Taiwan and had a great time. She wants to be able to visit again soon and make even more special memories with more of her fans.
Jessica’s next fan meeting will be held next week on June 27, in Yokohama, Japan.
