KCON has finally begun announcing the artists who will be at their Los Angeles show this coming summer. The organizer of the event, Korean media giant CJ E&M, revealed today that boy group Block B and rookie girl group Gfriend are stopping by to meet and perform for the fans this June.
KCON is the world’s largest Korean music and culture festival, and to celebrate the convention’s fifth anniversary, will return to the United States this year. For the New York stop, KCON will take place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey from June 24 to 25, and will return later with Block B and Gfriend on July 29 to 31 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center.
Gfriend returned to the stage in Korea with their mini album “Snowflake”, title track “Rough”, in January of this year and performed with the song for several weeks before wrapping up promotions in mid-February. Block B released a pre-release track “A Few Years Later” last March to promote their upcoming album “Blooming Period”, which will come out next week April 11 with the title track “Toy”.
