Korea is notorious for being obsessed with fair skin. While we all love and adore our Korean idols, we do cringe when they mock the slightly dark member for his or her skin colour. There are definitely idols out there breaking stereotypes like the popular girl group, Sistar, especially Hyorin, as well as Lee Hyori. But, they have not been not enough for the k-beauty industry to actually start catering to the needs of darker men and women.

It is almost impossible to find Korean makeup for dark skinned individuals, but if we look hard enough, there are some products that do serve deep skin tones.  As an Indian woman with dark complexion and a K-beauty lover, it was important for me to find makeup that worked for dark skinned men and women. In this list, you will find products that are actually difficult to find for dark skin. Check it out below:

  1. Laneige BB Cushion

It is very difficult to find Korean foundation for darker men and women but Laneige found the need to cater to our need, which makes them one of a kind. Their product may be pricey but it plays several roles as it has an SPF of 50, brightens the skin and claims to moisturize it too.

  1. Innisfree Mineral Stick Concealer

Innisfree offers only two shades with this stick concealer but its shade Natural Beige, offers a good coverage for light brown skin tones.

  1. Etude House Play 101 Blending Pencil (Concealer)

This multi-purpose blending pencil from Etude House is a blessing from God himself. There are several shades from this line that can be used as concealer from tan to darker skin colours. Some of these shades are #4 #6 #9 and #14.

  1. Innisfree Mineral Single Shadow (Contour)

This eyeshadow line from Innisfree comes in many, many shades. Among those shades are some really deep browns that are perfect for contouring. After much research, I found that the darkest Korean contour shade is still for light skin individuals. So, here we have these pigmented eyeshadows in 16 shades (some are matte, but the deep brown shades are matte).

  1. Tonymoly Spoiler Blush Stick

This blusher comes in three shades, while there is a pretty light pink and coral, we all know that the way to go for dark skin is an orange. It is hard to find blush that shows up on dark skin but this perfect orange will definitely leave a subtle blush on the cheeks.

Get it from Style Korean for $13.61

  1. Skin Food Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek Trio (Blush)

This small palette has three shades of beautiful colours and while all the colours are good, the palette #6 (Plum) has some very deep colours which would look amazing on you.
