‘Kygo’ And ‘Ellie Goulding’ Depict The “First Time” They Lost Love In New Video

Kygo has done yet another wonderful collab with Ellie Goulding for “First Time”. The two made something great together. A meaningful, subtle tune, the song and video do much to appeal to the viewers’ emotions.

“We were high and we were sober/We were on and we were over/We were young and now I’m older/But I’d do it all again”

The lyrics express the feelings of someone mourning the loss of a loved one. In the lyrics, the singer expresses how much the relationship means to her. The song reflects on the good and bad that occurs during close relationships. In the lyrics, the singer is also reminiscing.

A love story with old memories, “First Time” shows a young girl and boy as they grow together (possibly siblings). Goulding is seen in different places as she goes through the memories represented by those places. We see the boy suffering from a burning, as if like paper. This comes off as a power or an illness and gradually gets worse as the boy gets older. The sister is the only one who knows how lonely he feels and her presence is the only thing that helps him live on. As the video name suggests, the two siblings experienced a lot together and were there for each other growing up.
