In preparation for the release of her new album, the L.A. based singer songwriter Lena Fayre released the smokey and haunting single “I Am Not A Man” in late July, 2014. Since its release, “I Am Not A Man” has received over 40,000 views on YouTube. Her new album ”OKO” was released in early August, 2014.

“I Am Not A Man” is conceptually, and vocally, seductive. Influences of literature, poetry and personal history come together to create a diverse yet methodical sound. Blurring the line of contemporary music, Lena’s music is best characterized in her own terminology: deconstructed pop.

Written by the 18-year-old Lena, in close collaboration with Grammy-nominated pros: singer-songwriter Liz Phair and producer/composer John Alagia, along with Platinum award-winning producer/composer Nolan Sipe, “I Am Not A Man” is a smart example of the full album’s sound. “OKO” is where abandonment, self-awareness and consciousness coalesce, leaving listeners longing for more.

The 11-song LP released on August 5th, 2014, is available in limited-edition CD and Vinyl formats and digitally at internet music retailers including iTunes, Amazon and Google Play. To showcase songs from her new album, Lena Fayre is currently doing a series of live shows at venues up and down the West Coast.

Lena Fayre’s new music appears in the wake of a very eventful 2013 which saw the international release of her self-titled debut EP, as well as three videos which garnered millions of YouTube views and multiple industry awards. Rolling Stone Magazine recently featured Lena Fayre as “A New Artist You Need To Know” which further fueled global interest in the singer and her music.

Lena will be performing next on August 18, 2014 at Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA.
