‘MC Hammer’ Says “Hello Stranger” In New Song Release

MC Hammer showed us he still has moves with a twitter video of him dancing in a studio. Now we get to hear a song from the iconic musician.

Hello Stranger

The song is a remake of an older hit made in the 60s. This rendition keeps the essence of it’s original version with the music and featured singer, Gentry Kozia, maintaining the air of Martha and the Vandellas and giving the song a more modern feel. It can almost be seen as a response to the original version, which gives the song even more character.

For those who like to know the nature of the original song to better understand this new version, here it is below. Both versions show how music has changed and grown over time.

Stanley Kirk Burrell, better known by his stage name MC Hammer, is an American hip hop recording artist, dancer, record producer, entrepreneur, and actor. He had his greatest commercial success and popularity from the late 1980s, until the late 1990s. Remembered for his rapid rise to fame, Hammer is known for hit records – “U Can’t Touch This” and “2 Legit 2 Quit” – flashy dance movements, choreography and eponymous Hammer pants.
