9 member girl goup Momoland have an unexpected hit Bboom Bboom on their hands. The fun single with both quirky and feline dance moves has gained them attention at home and internationally. As such, the group’s agency is stretching out their success and milking it for all its got by releasing an even quirkier “Dance Spirit” version.

The setting for this new version appears to be in a large gym complex. And, it largely involves member Na Yun holding what appears to be both a large flute and at the same time a large blow gun.

As the song progresses in this version, Na Yun uses her large blow gun to co-opt her other members, by playfully shooting them, to join her in dancing to Bboom Bboom.

The dance spirit version has not been the only derivative content released for Bboom Bboom. Their agency “Dublekick” has been releasing official fancam versions of the dance version of the single. Each fancam version focuses on a particular member.

Momoland debut in November of 2016, and Bboom Bboom is their third comeback. It was released on January 03, 2018.

At times all it takes is a break out hit like what happened to Crayon Pop, or even a seemingly random occurrence as happened to Gfriend and Exid, for a group to rise above the noise and become popular. This girl group seem to have hit there’s early, while others like CLC seem stuck. So, Momoland is doing everything they can and are not letting this moment slip away.
