Summer couldn’t have started on a higher note this year than with KCON 2017 NY. The world’s biggest Korean pop music festival and culture convention lights up the New York metro area and Los Angeles every year, and things have only gotten better this time around.

KCON 2017 NY secured a record nine artists for the two nights of live concerts. Dreams came true and bonds got stronger, with K-pop stars winning the opportunity to meet their fans from all over the world, and the fans finally getting to see their faves sing and dance their hearts out live on stage.

Day 2 was also Rookies’ Night, just like Day 1, with three of the four artists scheduled for the nighttime finale having debuted within only the past couple of years. NCT 127 was one of the trinity of rookie groups that night, and also the youngest, with their debut happening just a little over a year ago in July 2016. This is also NCT 127’s first KCON event in the United States, and their second overall, following their KCON debut in Mexico City last March.

Kevin Woo from U-Kiss was the host for KCON 2017 NY’s second Red Carpet Night. Kevin lit things up from the very moment NCT 127 walked up onto the stage. Tapping into the connection between the fans all hyped up and the boys settling in on stage, Kevin asked if NCT 127 were happy to meet their international fans again.

Kevin also put the spotlight on NCT 127’s outfits on the Red Carpet, asking about the look, style, and the thought that went into their fashions for the night. NCT 127 pulled out some crazy stops, rolling in decked out in a colorful and varied assortment of shirts, coats, vests, and pants.

NCT members Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, and Haechan form the latest lineup of NCT 127, the youngest of the three NCT groups.

NCT 127 made their debut in July of last year, promoting their self-titled first EP “NCT #127” with lead single “Fire Truck”. NCT 127 is the second boy group from SM Entertainment’s NCT (Neo Culture Technology) boy brand, and they’ve definitely gotten the fans even more welcoming of SM’s innovative new way of transforming their budding SM Rookies trainees into full-time stars. NCT 127 opened the year with “Limitless”, and shook things up with a “Cherry Bomb” for last month’s comeback.
