Girl group I.O.I. are finally returning to the stage, with the arrival of their first sub-unit I.O.I Unit. Today August 9, I.O.I. Unit released the full music video for “Whatta Man”.

I.O.I’s “Whatta Man” was inspired by the original song by Lindy Lyndell, titled “What a Man!”, released back in 1968. Salt-n-Pepa with En Vogue released a newer cover of the song in 1993. I.O.I released the music video teaser and image teaser last week.

I.O.I Unit was formed from seven of I.O.I’s 11 original members, namely Lim Nayoung and Zhou Qiejiong (Joo Kyulkyung), also members of Pledis Girlz; JYP Entertainment’s Jeon Somi; S&P Entertainment’s Kim Sohye; Kim Doyeon; Kim Chungha; and Choi Yoojung.

The other four members are currently promoting as members of other girl groups: Jellyfish Entertainment’s Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina in gugudan; Jung Chaeyeon in DIA; and Yoo Yeonjung in WJSN (Cosmic Girls).

I.O.I. recently performed at and took part in several event activities as the full 11-member group last month, as one of the highlight artists at the KCON 2016 Los Angeles event, which took place from July 29 to 31 at the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center.
