Signed to a record label at the young age of 12, and debut album released the following year in 2000, except for a hiatus to go to high school, R&B artist Sammie has not stopped making music. He recently released his latest project, a studio album called “Coming Of Age.”

The first single from the new album was released in September, 2017, called COA. The track is a simple love song with minimal instrumentation, where his vocals provided most of the emotional tension required of any self-respecting RnB artist.

Then he spiced things up about a month later, recently, with the next single “Too Long.” Although, it’s more suggestive than overt in context, it is basically a grown-n-sexy track, not too far off from what R Kelly, Genuwine and Keith Sweat would have done, back in the good ole days.

This new album comes off the heels of his last project, an EP released last year in 2016 called “I’m Him,”. The lead single of the same name, which sparingly incorporated more contemporary elements, is a song making a case of why he’s better than the rest of the competition – a common refrain from the R&B we used to love. Just like Trey Songz did in “I Can’t Help But Wait.”

With a total of 4 studio albums, 5 EPS and 4 mixtapes, Sammie is single-mindedly holding the line trying to save R&B.
