The first KCON event in America this year, KCON 2017 NY, was definitely the event that kicked this summer off to an exciting start.

With 43,000 fans packing the venue and 9 K-pop stars setting the stage on fire, and more than 100 sponsors and partners sharing their latest offerings with everyone at the event, this year’s KCON fan convention and music festival in the New York metro area were definitely the two days that will be remembered and cherished for a long time.

Day 2 of the KCON 2017 NY concert lineup featured four artists, three of whom were rookies. Up10tion were one of the more recently debuted groups, with them finding their beginnings in the fall of 2015. Though Up10tion are starting to find their sound in the series of catchy singles they’ve released since their debut, they’ve yet to make a major splash in the K-pop scene that will send them to the top and launch their popularity to the next level.

Up10tion made their way to the Red Carpet on the second night of the KCON NY 2017 concerts. Host Kevin Woo from U-KISS welcomed them on the stage.

Kevin asked Up10tion if they were thrilled to see their international fans in the New York metro for the first time ever, and about their selection of outfits for the Red Carpet. Up10tion rolled in with a colorful mix of T-shirts and jackets that were unique to each member, paired up with jeans or shorts that were black or denim.

Up10tion’s ten members are Jinhoo, Kuhn, Kogyeol, Wei, Bitto, Wooshin, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Hwanhee, and Xiao. Nine members went up on stage for the Red Carpet and the concerts later on, with member Wooshin not being able to make it, due to health problems.

Up10tion debuted in September 2015 with their first EP “Top Secret”, and promoted the album with its lead single “So Dangerous”. Since their debut, Up10tion have released a string of catchy songs: “Catch Me”, “Attention”, “Tonight”, and “White Night”.

Up10tion are on their way to finding their color and sound in the ever-changing and growing K-pop world, landing their first ever KCON gig in this year’s KCON NY, and making their latest comeback just one week later with “Runner”.

Up10tion presented their fandom,¬†HONEY10, and all the fans who made it to the event with a one-of-a-kind gift: a special performance of “Runner” on the KCON NY stage, way before they even revealed the song and choreography on the music video’s release day or on the weekly Korean music shows.
