UK rapper Novelist says he’s invented a new sound called “Ruff Sound.” And, he took to radio at Rinse FM to prove his point. He went in on the mic and didn’t stop for another 30 minutes.

Novelist, whose govt name is Kojo Kankam, is also a producer and is from Lewisham in South London. He is a founding member of The Square crew and was nominated for Best Grime Act at the 2014 MOBO Awards. The award went to Stormzy, who was a first time winner, at the time.

Currently at 19 years of age, Novelist has been called the “new face of grime.”
