YG’s boy group, Winner recently released details of the first single for their much anticipated comeback “Exit Movement”, as well as the schedule for the album release. The comeback single, called “Pricked” is a duet by members Song Min Ho and Nam Tae Hyun.
It’s not immediately obvious, but the choice of symbolism isn’t the best. The crown of thorns over the heart is a symbol of the ultimate sacrifice, a symbol of Christendom – the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to take away the sins of the world. Kpop has been known to skirt around these issues, like when CL caused controversy with her Quran quotation and GD’s Mugler assertions – all of which seem to suggest a YG pattern.
The single “Pricked” will be released on January 11, and the mini-album will be released on February 1.
The schedule for the upcoming Winner comeback isn’t complete yet. Here’s a short animation of the schedule, which shows the theme colors of the comeback, green and black.
