Last weekend’s KCON 2017 NY was a blast! One of the record nine artists who rocked the first night’s concerts, Zion.T, made a huge impact all on his own, with him being the only K-pop soloist who made his way to the East Coast.

The KCON Red Carpet connected the booths and the more convention side of the day wrapping up, to the opening up of the┬ánight’s concerts and festival. In the midst of the eight groups who shined in their own unique way on the Red Carpet, Zion.T moved in there solo.

Rolling in shades and a long flowing robe-like outfit, Zion.T jived well with Danny Lim, the YouTube actor and personality, and the host of the Red Carpet event. He shared his excitement at being in New York and with all the fans who came out. His fashion and style stood out compared to the coordinated outfits of the eight K-pop groups who were at this year’s KCON NY.

After his mini solo-gig on the Red Carpet, Zion.T later performed four numbers for KCON’s night concerts: his latest single “Complex”, the title track of his new album “OO”; his light-hearted R&B track “The Song”; “Eat”, a song bearing a message of hope; and finally, “Yanghwa Bridge”, with the crowd getting even more hyped up, as they started chanting along.

Zion.T debuted in April 2011 with “Click Me” featuring Dok2. From the very beginning, Zion.T has been heavily involved in the production of his music and his unique take on Korean R&B, with a lot of the numbers on his discography being self-composed.

His latest musical work is his second EP “OO”, title track “The Song”, his first under The Black Label, after leaving Amoeba Culture earlier. Zion.T’s best-selling singles in Korea, “Yanghwa Bridge” and “Eat”, came out in 2014 and 2015. Zion.T contributed his two singles from last year, “Knock” and his collab with Kush “Machine Gun (Feat. Mino)”, to the 2016 Show Me the Money 5 special album.
